Laura J. Moriarty papers, circa 1978-1990.

The collection consists of materials relating to Moriarty's involvement with various organizations, including the Abigails (a group of DeKalb County, Georgia school board members, commissioners, legislators and local citizens interested in promoting women), the Democratic Party, the League of Women Voters, the Atlanta Regional Commission, the National Issues Forum and the National Commission on Social Security. Also included are three scrapbooks (dismantled for preservation purposes) of photographs and news clippings regarding her involvement with these organizations, and various artifacts, including pinback buttons and awards.

Moriarty has a master's degree in Public Administration from the University of Georgia and as of 2001 was employed as a Business Analyst for the Information Technology Division of Emory University.
